Microsoft has launched a new tool for tracking personal budgets and finances in spreadsheets, though only in the US for now. The tool, called 'Money in Excel', is available as part of Microsoft 365. This is the version of Office that you have to subscribe to, rather than pay once to download. 'Money in Excel' will be well received by the thousands of people who miss Microsoft Money. This was a hugely popular program from its launch in 1991 until Microsoft stopped supporting it in 2009 - although it's still possible to run it in Windows 10 (see Issue 579, page 67 for details).
