Google's privacy policy could be in breach of data-protection laws, according to the UK's data watchdog. The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) is asking the search giant to make urgent changes or face "formal enforcement action". The ICO said that the privacy policy "raises serious questions" in terms of compliance with UK law, maintaining that Google didn't make clear how people's data is used across all the company's products. Last March Google replaced over 60 existing privacy policies with just one - covering everything from email to YouTube. Google said the new privacy policy would make things easier to understand but privacy advocates have said that it fails to provide adequate details of what Google does with people's data.
