For the Cartoon Network's original movie Ben 10 Race Against Time, the studio Super 78 used Motion Analysis' Hollywood-based studio to capture real-time data for two CG characters. "It's a live-action film, with 3D characters," describes Super 78's Brent Young, "about a boy who finds a watch that gives him the ability to transform into 10 different alien forms." Super 78 created the visual effects and animation for all the 3D characters. For two of the characters—Heatblast and Diamond Head—they used motion capture. For Heatblast, the animators found 90 percent of the data useful; for Diamond Head, they could directly apply about 30 percent.
