Delmas has added a fifth 1,600TEU capacity ship to its Mediterranean/West Africa (DIAMS) liner service and raised its service frequency to a sailing approximately every 10 days. Previously, the service was scheduled every 13/14 days. While the extra ship has been added to support growing trade volumes, it will also enable the carrier to improve its schedule integrity in trade where delays in ports, especially at the West African end of the leg, are common.
