Five years ago The Database did a deal with Microsoft which made the Nottingham-based software house an official solution provider partner to the global computer giant. With Microsoft's Windows NT system now in evidence in contracting organisations throughout the land, this might not sound like too much of a risk, but at the time the deal was signed, The Database had to take it on trust that Microsoft would deliver on its promise of a viable network solution.
