Mass-produced consumer electronics prod ucts support a vast range of applications from entertainment to health care. These devices are subject to different operating conditions with different reliability requirements. Each individual device has a unique aging profile as the operating environment and use conditions can significantly vary from device to device. The process of reliability assurance involves many parameters concerning every single part of an electronic product, as quality assurance depends on factors ranging from individual electronic components that a device comprises, as well as how they are interconnected and the firmware that controls the various functions and features of the device, all the way through to the overall device itself after assembling all components together.
