The international food industry declared itself very satisfied with the results of the 29th Anuga trade fair in Cologne, Germany, this past October. Some 163,000 visitors from approximately 175 countries took advantage of the opportunity the fair offered to obtain extensive information on the products presented by the 6,607 exhibiting companies from 95 countries. In fact, the number of visitors to Anuga was up by around 3% from the previous event in 2005. This is quite an accomplishment, as most trade shows and conventions in recent years have experienced flat or a slight decline in participation.
