Excellency, what is the present status of relationship between Pakistan and China?rnChina and Pakistan established diplomatic relations on May 21st, 1951. Over the past 58 years, China-Pakistan relationship has withstood the test of time and changing international environment and has developed into an all-weather and multi-dimensional partnership of strategic cooperation. China and Pakistan are good friends, good neighbors, good partners and good brothers.rnThe friendship and contacts between our peoples have a time-honored history. In the old days, they were linked by the Silk Road. In China's Tang dynasty, Hsuan-tsang, an eminent Chinese monk, studied Buddhism in Taxila on his pilgrimage to the west. His sojourn in Pakistan, recounted in a book entitled The Great Tang Dynasty Record of the Western Regions, is a popular anecdote in the history of exchanges between the Chinese and Pakistani peoples.
