A majority of us, particularly the younger generation are not aware about the operation VENICE and LITTLE VENICE which was intended to be launched during December 1948 to forestall the impending offensive operation by the enemy against various sectors of AZAD KASHMIR. Most people of my age group are no more in this world but perhaps a few like me are still holding back the dawn. Most details of operation VENICE and LITTLE VENICE are still fresh in my memory box. A few events were recorded in some articles published many years back but pertinent historical facts continue to be quoted and remembered.
