摘要

Stretching from the Caspian Sea in its West to the frontiers of China in the East and from Russian Federation in North to Afghanistan and Iran in South, Central Asia has been one of the world's oldest inhabited areas. Turkic nomads inhabited Central Asia in earliest history in 2000 BC. These had spawned many warrior tribes, notably the Huns who roamed this, steppe with impunity. The Chinese Empire of the West sporadically sent exploratory trading missions westwards but they repeatedly fell victim to the warrior tribes. Eventually after many massacres the 'Silk Road' was established.
