摘要

Future is always unpre-dictable. Anything can happen at any time that can bring unex-p e c t e d changes. While, as far as India-pakistan relations are concerned, the case is even more complicated. The two states have passed through an overall tense environment since their independence. Yet, the intensity of tensions has been fluctuating throughout this period. At sometimes, it escalated to the level of crisis like Brass-tacks, Vijay Poorna and the military standoff in 2002, while at other times situation ended in wars like 1948, 1965, 1971 and finally a near war or a limited one in Kargil. Yet all about India-Pakistan relations is not restricted to wars and crisis, many a times realization for the need of reconciliation also aroused at both sides which resulted in major events.
