摘要

Eminent writers are contributing high class and arduously resea rched articles on current economic problems, defence matters, politics, foreign affairs, terrorism and suicide bombings; they also highlight relations with India and as predicted by many, these are now cooling down. Life in uniform is disciplined, tough and usually dry. Often during battle, soldiers do witness conspicuous gallantry, hair raising adventure and hair-breadth escapes. But at times soldiers also experience amusing incidents which make them laugh. Young officers during service also get opportunities to closely watch VVIPs and listen to their conversation. This article is based on personal glimpses of lighter events and if read, is likely to force a smile. Only seven events are being mentioned.
