Dear Readers, Since gaining independence in 1947 Pakistan has been a victim of a number of conventional and non-conventional wars imposed by India. It is an irony that even after more than seventy years India has not reconciled with the reality of Pakistan, every govt that came into power in India undertook malicious strategies to undermine Pakistan politically, economically and socially. The incumbent govt led by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been particularly active spreading anti-Pakistan venom at every available opportunity and at every forum. In this vile mission India is backed by like-minded supporters including many in seats of power in the Afghan govt. The grimness of the situation can be gauged by the concern expressed by Pakistan's Army Chief of Staff Gen Qamar Bajwa during a passing out parade ceremony of cadets, saying "a hybrid war has been imposed on Pakistan to internally weaken it". Interacting with participants of national security workshop in GHQ he highlighted how Pakistan faces religious, ethnic and sectarian version of hybrid war. With the likelihood of conventional warfare drying up, India has converged onto another type of attack, Hybrid warfare. This is a non-linear or non-traditional warfare that destabilizes an opponent by clandestine maneuvers such as political disruption, economic subversion, propaganda campaigns (including social media), and cyber assaults. In this India is being helped by its "allies" and also uses tactics manipulating the mainstream media to tarnish the international reputation of Pakistan; implementing disinformation programmes, spreading fake news and odious Op-eds. Modi has openly stated his aim of isolating Pakistan diplomatically, while this is wishful thinking Pakistan should never let its guard down.
