Work to get the crew of HMS Queen Elizabeth up to speed on the ship's complex networks has begun in earnest, even though the first of its class future carrier's entry into service may still be some years away. Weapon engineering technicians, Chief Petty Officer Anthony Hughes and Petty Officer Sean Stafford, joined the ship in January and are already helping to test and commission the complex communications network, known as the Internal Network Electronics (INE). The INE is the heart of the ship's mission system - the kit that puts the 'war' in warship. It links together virtually every computer and information system on board, and connects them to the outside world through satellite communications.
