摘要

When establishing a tactical base at whatever level, the concept of using modular, reconfigurable and rede-ployable assets is a key requirement. Future-proofing any asset is also vital to reducing the cost of ownership, while maintaining operational effectiveness. It is important to minimise the logistical tail and footprint, constructing an operational capability that will endure, evolve and grow with the particular mission and with minimal cost and effort. Equally, as the mission dictates, it is important that any capability can be incrementally scaled down to ensure maximum re-use of resources.
