Employees throughout the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) have worked around the clock to assist survivors of the earthquake in Haiti that occurred on 12th January.rnImmediately after the earthquake, DLA teamed up with the US Transportation Command and the Joint Staff and began coordinating with US Southern Command. USSOUTHCOM, which was designated the lead for the US military's response to the humanitarian relief efforts, partnered with the State Department and the US Agency for International Development to assess the US support of the worldwide effort in providing aid after the natural disaster.
