Targeting an international market is wise in today's global economy. Applications designed around a single language (English for instance) will lose ground to those designed for a wider audience. My experience has been that a significant amount of product sales are international. Simply put, when applications are functionally the same, international customers will acquire those that take into account their culture specifics. In the next few articles I'll discuss the concept of globalization and localization. This article specifically introduces the concept of globalizing/localizing applications by discussing the use of the Culturelnfo class from the System. Globalization namespace. In Part Ⅱ, I'll address how to construct an application that makes use of more resources to accomplish multi-culture targeting.
