I have a theory of humanity's great creative achievements that I call "Grant's Law," or at least "Grant's Suggestion:" The greatest creative achievements of humanity have been accomplished by people who did not feel very good at the time, working with inadequate resources in inappropriate environments. The use to make of this thought is, don't wait until you have everything all lined up and all your ducks in a row - get started now and get on with your work. Great working environments and ample resources usually follow on, not precede, great achievements. Great working conditions seem to be rewards and recognitions for achievements, not preconditions for them.
