The Department of Ancient History and Classics invites applicationsfor individual course stipends for the 2011/12 academic year: on ourPeterborough campus, AHCL-WMST 2310H ('Women in the GreekWorld', Fall term), AHCL-WMST 2320H ('Women in the Roman World', Winter term), AHCL 3100H ('The Athenian Empire', Winter term), andAHCL 3130H ('The Augustan Principate & Its Origins', Fall term); andon our Oshawa campus, AHCL 2100Y ('Introduction to AncientHistory', full-year course). All appointments are subject to budgetaryapproval. Courses ending in Y are full-year courses (Sept.-Apr., 1.0credit); those ending in H are one-term (0.5 credit). These coursescannot be combined into a full-time position, but it may be possible fora single instructor to teach more than one course, to a maximum totalof 1.5 credits between September and April.
