A 30-year-old male was admitted to our institution after ahigh-speed motor vehicle collision. The patient hadremained hemodynamically stable and consciousthroughout. He had a traffic pole perforating his leftthigh (Figure 1 and Figure 2), but distal pulses werepresent and sensation was normal in all dermatomes. Thepatient also had multiple facial abrasions and a scalplaceration. Full-body computed tomography (CT) wasperformed. The scan showed a steel rod perforating theleft thigh, revealing no other significant injury (Figure 3).
