Welcome to the inaugural issue of Current Applied Polymer Science! In the year of 2017, BenthamScience Publishers have launched a new journal in the field of polymer science, Current Applied PolymerScience. After a very elaborate preparation, we have begun to accept manuscripts in June. We are happythat the inaugural issue is published! In the first issue of this journal, we have published 9 peer-reviewedarticles. Two of these are the review articles authored by Scrivano and Li, et al. In these two articles, theauthors summarized the recent advances in the studies of the polymer-based nanodevices for effective antimicrobial therapy and the organic-inorganic polybenzoxazine nanocomposites, respectively. As the major body of this issue, we published 7 original research articles on processing and properties of biomedicaland recyclable polymers. This is a cheerful beginning of this new journal. We look forward to the continued growth of this journal in the future.
