摘要

Multiple myeloma is an incurable disease in many patients;therefore, maintaining good quality of life (QOL) for the durationof the long-term treatment is important.Taste dysfunctionis reported to occur in 30 to 70% of patients receiving cancerchemotherapy [1]. This adverse event affects the appetite ofpatients; consequently, QOL of patients decreases. However, itremains unclear about the association between taste dysfunctionand anti-multiple myeloma drugs. In this study, reportssubmitted to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) were reviewed toassess taste dysfunction induced by the administration of antimultiplemyeloma drugs.
