Based on the characteristics of sports tourism and development status for 17 metropolitan at home and abroad, it develops scientific and reasonable evaluation index system, conducts in-depth study of urban tourism industry from more comprehensive perspective, uses Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Principal Component Analysis (PCA), with a combination of macro and micro, carries through in-depth analysis of the competitive status of the city?s tourism industry, tries to find the cause that the sports tourism industry of major cities in each country generates gap. Studies have shown that: Cultural traditions, economic status and political environment in different regions have a significant impact on the sports tourism competitiveness of the cities in this area. Through research it tries to identify appropriate countermeasures to improve our city?s soft power and enhance international competitiveness.
