Determination of Microgram Amounts of Copper in Real Samples Using New Modified Carbon Paste Electrode

摘要

A new chemically modified carbon paste electrode (CMCPE) based on copper-Cefazoline, Cu(II)- CFZ, ion-associate has been developed. The electrode exhibits a Nernstian slope of 29.44 mV per-6 -3 -1 decade for Cu(II) ion over a concentration range of 4.01x10 -7.52x10 mol L . The electrode has low-7 -1 limit of detection, 6.2810 mol L , fast response time of 0 s, highly selective, thermally stable andits potential response is pH independent in the pH range 1.6-5.8. This modified electrode wassuccessfully used in determination of copper (II) in different water samples, milk powder, brasspowder, soft drink and tea.
