摘要

AbstractOne of the unresolved problems is the unsteady inlet boundary condition in current Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations or Computational Wind Engineering (CWE). It is known that the inlet boundary condition of the current CFD or CWE simulations is always specified as a steady one, which ignores the turbulence effect from the upwind direction. In this paper a numerical procedure of inflow turbulence based on the digital filter technique (Autoregressive Moving Average (ARMA) model) is presented and validated to realize the inflow turbulence and then this approach is adopted to investigate the flow characteristics around a square cylinder at zero angle of incidence based on different Large Eddy Simulation (LES) models.
