Mechanical loading of metal along with ultrasonic action leads to changing of surface conductivity. It happens in the presence of active defects in metal (defects are active if acoustic emission arises when mechanical loading is changed). Description of experimental study of this phenomenon is presented in the paper. Special device is built for experiments. Possibility of practical application of new device is discussed.
