Interpretations of various quantum-mechanical, theoretical and experimental resultssuggest the existence of causal faster-than-light effects. To show how such effects can bereconciled with special relativity, we give an example of a classical causal system withlocal, covariant equations of motion. Its retarded solutions exhibit causalfaster-than-light effects. Certain properties of these solutions propagate almostaccording to the Klein-Gordon equation and not faster than light.
