The budget for FY2017 (April 2017–March 2018) was approved by the National Diet on March 27, 2017, with 22,213,199,000 yen appropriated for the National Diet Library (NDL) during FY2017. Funding of first-stage construction for second-phase facilities at the NDL’s Kansai-kan increased the budget by 2,657 million yen compared with last year’s initial appropriation.
