The?International?Federation?of?Library?Associations?and?Institutions?(IFLA)?was?founded?in?1927?and?is?the?world'slargest?organization?in?the?field?of?library?and?information?services.?It?handles?various?issues?through?over?40sections?set?up?according?to?subject??Strategic?Programmes?focusing?on?specific?topics?such?as?preservation?andconservation,?copyright?and?other?legal?matters??and?other?activities.?Currently?there?are?more?than?1,500?membersfrom?approximately?150?countries?around?the?world.
