摘要

Abstract:Objective To compare the physical cooling efficacy for fever between traditional ice bag and homemade Smoothie mixed pack. Methods A total of 160 patients with fever were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 80 cases in each group. The control group adopted the traditional ice bag for physical cooling, and the observation group used homemade smoothie mixed for physical cooling. The cooling effect of the two groups and comfort level of patients were compared. Results The physical cooling efficacy at 30 min and 60 min were better in the observation group than those in the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in physical cooling efficacy at 24 h between two groups (P>0.05). The observation patients had a better visual simulation score in assessing comfortable degree compared with the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Homemade smoothie mixed pack can be better pasted to surface of patients, showing a better cooling effect and a higher degree of comfort.
