Abstract:Objective To investigate the curative effect of buried seeds at auricular points for liver-Yang hyperactivity syndrome hypertension patients with insomnia. Methods 〓Totally 65 liver-Yang hyperactivity syndrome hypertension patients with insomnia were assigned to the observation group(n=32)and the control group(n=33). Both two groups received comprehensive treatment and care, and the observation group was given buried seeds at auricular points. The TCM syndrome scoring, blood pressure and sleeping quality of patients were observed and compared between two groups. Results 〓According to the TCM syndrome scoring, the overall effective rate of intervention was higher in the observation group than that of controls(P0.01). The Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)score was decreased in both two groups after intervention, and was lower in the observation group than that of controls(P0.05). Patients in the observation group had a better control of systolic pressure and diastolic pressure compared with those in the control group(P0.05). Conclusion 〓Application of buried seeds at auricular points is potentially effective to improve the clinical syndrome of patients with liver-Yang hyperactivity syndrome hypertension patients and insomnia.
