Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of auricular seeds method in nursing care of patients with posterior circulation ischemic vertigo. Methods A total of 98 patients with posterior circulation ischemic vertigo were assigned to the control group (n=45) and the observation group (n=53). Both two groups received combination treatment of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine and conventional nursing care. The observation group was applied with auricular seeds method additionally. The improvement in vertigo symptom after three weeks’ intervention was compared between two groups. Results The vertigo symptoms was improved in both two groups 1 week after intervention (P<0.05), but with no significant difference between two groups(P>0.05)).the observation group received a better improvement of vertigo symptoms at 2 and 3 weeks after intervention compared with the control group (P<0.05or P< 0.01). Conclusion Auricular seeds method, as an effective nursing intervention of traditional Chinese medicine, can improve the symptoms of vertigo in patients with posterior circulation ischemic vertigo.
