Abstract:The unprotected perineum delivery is a new way of midwifery. Compared with the traditional midwifery, this technique can not only effectively protect the perineal tissue AND reduce the incidence of perineal laceration and pain degree during delivery, but also can effectively reduce episiotomy rate and postpartum complications. It may also shorten maternal hospitalization stay and reduce hospitalization cost, and improve the maternal quality of life after childbirth. This paper is aimed to summarize the progress of clinical research of unprotected perineum delivery technique, for the purpose of further application in clinical area.
