:Objective To investigate the standardized nursing management in prevention of lower-extremity deep venous thrombosis(DVT)after transurethral resection of the prostate. Methods 〓Totally 86 patients undergoing transurethral resection of the prostate were assigned to the control group and the study group, with 43 cases in each group. Patients in both two groups received routine care after the surgery, and those in the study group were given standardized nursing management to prevent the lower-extremity DVT. The incidence of DVT was compared between two groups. Results 〓No cases of lower-extremity DVT in the study group and 6(13.95%)cases of lower-extremity DVT were identified, with a significant difference between two groups(P0.05). Conclusion 〓The standardized nursing management is effective to prevent the lower-extremity DVT after transurethral resection of the prostate.
