Abstract：ABSTRACT: Objective To investigate the effect of preoperative fasting time in the patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Methods A total of 70 patients undergoing elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy in were shortened preoperative fasting time. The adverse reactions were analyzed and were compared with the conventional fasting method. Results The adverse reactions of patients with the shorter preoperative fasting time were significantly lower than that of the traditional fasting method. Conclusion Shortening the preoperative fasting time in patients undergoing elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy can reduce the adverse reactions and promote the rehabilitation of patients.
