摘要

：Objective To investigate the curative effect of hot compress with Chinese herbal on specific acupoints in treatment of abdominal distension after non-invasive mechanical ventilation in patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD). Methods 〓Totally 40 AECOPD patients with abdominal distension after non-invasive mechanical ventilation were divided into the control group(n=19)and the study group(n=21). Patients of both two groups were given routine care, and those in the study group received hot compress with Chinese herbal on specific acupoints in treatment of abdominal distension. The gastrointestinal function, degree of abdominal distension and total therapeutic response were evaluated after the intervention. Results 〓There were no significant difference in gastrointestinal function and degree of abdominal distension between two groups before the intervention(P0.05). Patients in the study group achieved better results of gastrointestinal function and abdominal distension compared with those in the control after the intervention(P0.01). The total therapeutic response rate was 95.24% in the study group and 68.42% in the control group, with a significant difference(P0.05). Conclusion 〓The hot compress with Chinese herbal is effective in treatment of abdominal distension after non-invasive mechanical ventilation in AECOPD patients.
