OneofthemostconcernsintheAlgerianSteppeistheanimalfeedingavailability.Waterscarcity,climaticirregularityandtherangelanddegradationaretheprincipalfactorsthataffectthefoodsupplyintheregion.Theobjectiveofthepresentstudyistryingtomakeafeedbalanceinthestepperangelandsovertimeforaperiodof15years(from2000to2014)basedontheMinistryofAgricultureandRuralDevelopmentstatisticaldata.ThewilayaofDjelfacase,themostimportantrangelandregion,wasindividualizedasanillustration.Theresultsobtainedshowthatthestepperangelandsareaproducesanenergeticamountof1.8billionU.Fcorrespondingto60.4%ofthefoddersupplies,representing37.5%oftheflockfeedingneedintheregion.TheDjelfawilayarangelandenergeticfeedingsupplyreachesaquantityof318millionUFrepresentingarateof73.5%ofallthefeedavailabilityandalevelof47.3%offeedingcoverage.
