Wedescribeamodifiedtime-symmetricHermiteintegratorspecializedforthelong-termintegrationofplanetaryorbits.Ourtime-symmetricintegratorshavenosecularerrorsinthesemimajoraxisandtheeccentricityfortheintegrationoftwo-bodyKeplerproblemsasusualtime-symmetricandsymplecticintegrators.Theusualtime-symmetricorsymplecticintegrators,however,showaseculardriftintheargumentofpericenter.Ournewfamilyofintegratorshasonefreeparameter,whichwecanadjusttoreducetheerrorintheargumentofpericenterwithoutbreakingthetime-symmetryorchangingtheorderoftheintegrator.Weshowanalyticallythattheleadingtermoftheerrorvanishesforauniquevalueoftheparameter,whichisindependentofthesizeofthetimestepandtheeccentricity.Itisalsopossibletoeliminatethenon-leading,higher-ordertermsbyusingaparametervaluethatdependsonboththesizeofthetimestepandtheeccentricity.Wedescribethesecond-andthefourth-orderschemes.Anextensiontohigherorderisstraightforward.
