Infantile hepatic hemangioendothelioma (IHHE), althoughrare, is one of the most common vascular tumors of theliver in children.1,2 Though the tumors are histologicallybenign, they occasionally cause life-threatening complications,such as cardiac failure, coagulation disorder,respiratory distress and, sometimes, hypothyroidism.1Prednisolone was mainly used for treatment of symptomaticIHHE, but recently, several case reports showed thetherapeutic effects of propranolol for IHHE.3.
