Wesurveyed401color-selectedIRASsourcesinthegalacticdiskintheSiO$$J=1hbox{--}0,v=1$$and2maserlinesat43a€‰GHz,resultingin254(239new)detections.Theobservedsourcesliemostlyinastripoftheinnergalacticdiskwithboundaries$$-10^{circ}l40^{circ}$$and$$vertbvert3^{circ}$$.Thissurveyprovidesradialvelocitiesofinner-diskstarsforwhichopticalmeasurementscannotbemadeduetointerstellarextinction.TheSiO$$lhbox{--}v$$diagraminthearea$$-10^{circ}l40^{circ}$$exhibitsfewerobjectscoincidentwiththemolecularringfeaturethandoestheOH1612a€‰MHzsource$$lhbox{--}v$$map,indicatingaslightdifferenceofstellartypebetweenSiOandOHemittingstars.AfteridentifyingalloftheSiOdetectedsourcesinthe2MASSnear-infraredcatalog,wecomputedtheirluminositydistancesbasedontheinfraredfluxes.Wethenmappedtheseobjectsontothefirstquadrantofthegalacticplane.CombiningthedistanceswiththeSiOradialvelocities,weobtainedapatternspeedforSiOmasersources,$$Omega_{mathrm{P}}=21(pm13),mathrm{km},mathrm{s}^{-1},mathrm{kpc}^{-1}$$,betweenthedistances1and5.5a€‰kpc,withouttheuseofanydynamicalmodels.Theincreaseofthepatternspeedtowardthegalacticcenter(upto$$60,mathrm{km},mathrm{s}^{-1},mathrm{kpc}^{-1}$$betweenthedistances,5.5and7a€‰kpc)suggeststhepresenceoftwopatternspeedsintheGalaxy.
