Wepresentastatisticalandmodelstudyof1a?’22GHzspectraand5-GHzinterpolateddatafor213of230sourceswithdeclinations?′a?’30?°,selectedforsurveyobservationswiththeHALCAspaceradiotelescope.Thespectraoftwosubsampleswerespeciallysurveyedandmonitoredin1997-2000asagroundspectrasupportforthespaceVLBIsurveyintheframeworkoftheVSOPSurveyProgramme.Every1a€“22GHzspectrumwasmeasuredwiththeRATAN-600radiotelescopeatsixwavelengthsof1.4,2.7,3.9,7.7,13,and31cmoveraperiodofafewminutes(tenminutesormorenearthepole).(25a€“30)%ofthesourcesstudiedareoutsideoftheVSOPselectioncriteriain1997-2000becauseofthevariabilityoftheVSOPsources,whichwerecompiledfromcatalogsspanningaperiodbetween1985and1996.About60%of186VSOP/HALCAsources,monitoredin8epochs,haveamplitudesofvariabilitygreaterthan?±10%at5GHzoverthethree-yearperiod.45newstrongof660additionallysurveyedsourceshavebeenfoundandcanbeaddedtotheHALCAsample.26of45sourcesarenewforthefullVSOPlist.AlmostallVSOPsourcesaresuggestedtohavecontinuousjetsatmilliarcsecondscales.Thisconclusionissupportedbyananalysisoftheindividualspectrafor213objects,theirmeanstatisticalshapeinthelocalframe,andthelong-termvariablespectrafor25objects.ModelandstatisticalanalysessuggestacommonphysicaloriginoftheradiosourcesofvarioustypesinthestudiedsamplesandinthemajorityofVSOPsurveysources.
