ThenonthermaleffectsonthenuclearfusionreactionprocessareinvestigatedinLorentzianastrophysicalplasmas.TheclosedexpressionoftheclassicalturningpointinLorentzianplasmasisobtainedbytheLambert$$W$$-function.UsingtheWKBanalysiswiththeeffectivescreeninglength,theclosedexpressionsofthefusionpenetrationfactorandthecrosssectionforthenuclearfusionreactioninLorentzianplasmasareobtainedasfunctionsofthespectralindex,relativekineticenergy,andplasmaparameters.ItisshownthatthenonthermalcharacteroftheLorentzianplasmaenhancesthefusionpenetrationfactor.Inaddition,thenonthermaleffectonthepenetrationfactorisfoundtobemoresignificantinplasmaswithhigherdensities.Itwouldbeexpectedthatthefusionreactionratesofthe$$p$$a€“$$p$$chainandtheCNOcycleinnonthermalplasmasarealwaysgreaterthanthoseinthermalMaxwellianplasmas.
