The second sentence in the paragraph following Eq. (1) should read “If the EM background is a homogeneousB-field, the dispersion of A∥ receives a factor e21=11T sin2 θ, whereas A⊥ a factor e12=11T sin2 θ.” In the original version,we had given 14=11 and 8=11 for these coefficients, respectively, a factor 2=3 smaller. We had mistakenly includedhsin2 θi ? 2=3 in these expressions. We thank M. Roncadelli for pointing out this error. Notice that for an isotropic gas ofunpolarized test photons, averaging over directions leads to hsin2 θi ? 2=3 and averaging over polarizations leads toe1=2T × e21=11 t 12=11T ? 3=2, i.e., their average dispersion in a B-field is indeed given by Eq. (1).
