Autotransplantacja z?ba jest wci?? zbyt rzadko wykonywanym zabiegiem chirurgicznym, mimo ?e jej du?a skuteczno?? zosta?a potwierdzona wieloma badaniami klinicznymi, a zapotrzebowanie na te zabiegi jest du?e. By? mo?e praca ta przyczyni si? do lepszego zrozumienia procesów zachodz?cych podczas i po przeszczepieniu z?ba, a dzi?ki temu zwi?kszy si? liczba tych zabiegów wykonywanych w gabinetach stomatologicznych – co stanowi?o cel tej publikacji. Abstract Tooth autotransplantation is an efficient method of surgical treatment. Its value relies on the fact that it enables denture reconstruction using the most biocompliant material which is the patient’s own tooth. To arise the percentage of successful autotransplantations it is important to gain the knowledge about tissues healing processes after the procedure. Those mechanisms are connected with total rupture of the vasculoneuronal bundle and periodontal fibres which occur during donor tooth extraction. The consequence of above is dental tissues ischemia. The knowledge of those can make the dentists decision easier, considering lack of dental treatment with favoring the autologous tooth transplantation as well as to avoid diagnostic mistakes or therapeutic failure. Autotransplantation is still underused although its high efficiency has been proven in many clinical trials and the demand for such procedures remains high. It is hoped that this paper will also help understand better the mechanisms occurring during and after tooth transplantation, resulting in the increasing of number of performed procedures of that type. The last issue is the desirable goal of this paper.
