Silver-based antimicrobial agents have been applied for many years. In?this paper, we report the preparation and antimicrobial activity of a novel silver nanowire?(AgNW)/polymer composite. The composite comprises a thin percolation network of?AgNWs inlaid at the surface of the polymer. The composite offers several advantages,?such as high transparency, flexibility, light weight, and low cost. The novel composite?shows an effective antibiotic activity and is a promising antimicrobial material for various?applications.
