Sliding Mode Control Strategy of the Three Phase Voltage Source Inverter with Disturbance Observer

Aiming at the influence of the parameters uncertainty and external disturbance influence on the control performance of the three phase voltage source full-bridge inverter, output filter capacitor voltage and its derivative were used as state variables, the disturbance observer with the proportion integral was built to estimate the system state efficiently, and the adverse effect to power system was suppressed. Based on the theory of vector control, a nonsingular terminal sliding mode controller and its control law were designed, which avoid the singular problem existing in the traditional terminal sliding mode and improve the response speed and steady accuracy of the system. Finally, the stability of the system was proved by choosing appropriate Lyapunov functions. Simulation and experimental results show that the method combining the disturbance observer with the sliding mode control has strong robustness against the outside disturbance, could improve the tracking precision and optimize the dynamic performance.
