摘要

The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze various risk categories that are inherent inbuilding construction projects in Ese-Odo, IIaje and Okitipupasouth senatorial district of Ondo State. TheQuestionnaire used for the collectionof risk information was based on relevant literatures reviewed.Seventyseven(77) risk variables were identified and grouped into 10 risk groups’ factors.Seventy-two (72)questionnaires wereadministered randomly distributed to seventy-two (72) participants (27 qualified localgovernment professional staffs and 45 non-management employees). Completing the questionnaire, respondentswere asked to use a five-point Likert scale ranging from: “not-important (1), important (2), average (3),veryimportant (4), to highly important (5)”. Responses were analyzed using the terms of the Relative ImportantIndex (R.I.I).From the analysis,the higher the R.I.I scores the highly important the risk factor. Scores above60% are regarded as highly important and influential risk factors while scores below 60% are regarded as lessimportant.
