The Center for Food Security and Public Health (CFSPH)has been developing educational materials for veterinarystudents and veterinarians since 2001. A major focus isthe development and delivery of online courses including‘Emerging and Exotic Diseases of Animals’ (available in Englishand Spanish), ‘Zoonoses: Protecting People and Their Pets’,and the United States Department of Agriculture supplementaltraining for the National Veterinary Accreditation Program(NVAP). The CFSPH is working with OIE to develop and deliveronline training for OIE focal points. In the future, the CFSPHplans to work with partners to develop and deliver onlineresources for veterinary educational institutions to enhancestudent training in relation to the OIE recommendations on thecompetencies of graduating veterinarians (‘Day-1 graduates’).
