A new Pt three-way catalyst supported on CeO _(2) –ZrO _(2) –La _(2) O _(3) –Al _(2) O _(3) via a double-solvent method was developed. For the conversion of a simulated compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicle exhaust, the catalyst showed a significant enhancement of the activity, which decreased the 100% conversion temperature ( T _(100) ) for CH _(4) by about 46 °C compared with the catalyst prepared by conventional impregnation method.
