Each issue, I have the opportunity to use this column to touch on current topics facing the industry or share updates from recent trade shows and conferences. Other times, it is a chance to address new happenings with our publication. And I'm delighted to say that's the case this month as we celebrate one of our teammate's accomplishments. Our international correspondent Mario Pierobon is now Dr. Mario Pierobon. As you may have read in his author's bio, Mario has been investigating ground handling safety for an ongoing research project. In the past months, he has taken the final steps of his academic journey by completing his viva and applying corrections to his thesis. Now, that dedication and research has culminated in Mario being awarded a Ph.D. in Transport Systems from Cranfield University. On behalf of the entire team at Ground Support Worldwide, we would like to thank Mario for his devotion to ground handling safety and his contributions to our editorial team's mission to promote the topic within the industry. Please join me in congratulating Dr. Pierobon on this impressive achievement.
